FEARLESS FAMILY TRAVEL #14

Who’s feeling the chill? We’re back in the UK after bidding our farewells to Bangalore, India, and absolutely loving all this snow! We do miss our lives back in India, but it’s absolutely wonderful catching up with our friends and family and enjoying some good ol’ English grub (hello Sunday roast!)

It’s been quite a rollercoaster of adventure in the Lynn household since I hosted my last linkup in January. My Mum came out to visit us in Bangalore and we spent some time chilling on the beach in Agonda, Goa. We stayed on a little wooden hut right on the beach and the owner lent the boys some boogie boards – what a huge hit they were!

Checking out the morning surf from Agonda Beach, Goa 🌴🌞🌊 . . We're staying in a little hut right on the beach. It's absolute bliss 🙏. The owner has given the boys some boogie boards and they're proving a MASSIVE hit! The waves are just right 👌. Hours of fun! Although I look forward to when they've mastered it and I can leave them to chill on the beach 😂 . . #agonda #agondabeach #goa #visitgoa #incredibleindia #experienceindia #india_ig #boogieboard #fishingboat #brothers #beachkids #surfkids #surfsup #fearlessfamtrav #showthemtheworld #explorerkids #freespiritedchildhood #freshairandfreedom #lpkids #lppathfinder #travelwithkids #familytravel #familytravelblogger #awanderfulchildhood #parentswhowander #ukftb #uktravelblogger #ourtribetravels #ourplanetdaily #guardiantravelsnaps

Then just a few days after my Mum returned home, we flew to Kathmandu to explore Nepal. Now Nepal is a difficult country to travel even without kids, due to the poor infrastructure. A seemingly short distance between towns can take a day travelling by bus around hairpin bends and bouncing over potholes. But we were rewarded with one of our best adventures to date. We loved the mystical temples, and spotted one-horned rhinos on safari, but the highlight has to be our 5 day trek in the Himalayas to Poon Hill (3210m). This month I’m linking up my latest post which details our route to Poon Hill as well as all our tips and lessons learned for trekking the Himalayas with young kids.

We actually bloody did it! YES!! ✊ . . 5 days of trekking up and down thousands upon thousands of steps, to a high point of 3210 meters at Poon Hill. I may no longer be able to walk as my muscles have turned to jelly, but I am absolutely bursting with pride for my boys. Such awesome trekkers! 😍 . . Will share more about our Himalayan adventures over the coming days, but for now this mamma needs a hot bath and🍷🍷🍷. . . . #poonhill #ghorepani #annapurna #himalayasnepal #himalaya #nepalisbeautiful #nepalnow #exploringfamilies #showthemtheworld #fearlessfamtrav #lppathfinder #lpkids #pottyadventures #trekkingnepal #trekkinghimalayas #adventurekids #adventureparenting #travelkids #bbctravel #guardiantravelsnaps #letthemexplore #bravekids #uktravelblogger #ourtribetravels #ourplanetdaily #passionpassport #traveljunkies #explorerkids #littleexplorers #tinytravels

Once we were back in Bangalore, we had a less than a week to pack up our lives and say our goodbyes, before heading home to the UK. We had such mixed feelings about leaving, especially as we left earlier than anticipated. But what a truly incredible year it has been!

On the way back to London, we had a stopover in Abu Dhabi, just as we did when we first moved out to India; I love when an adventure comes full circle. We had a couple of days to decompress and enjoy some luxury at Le Meridien and Sheraton.

Hello Abu Dhabi! 🌞🏨✈👐 .. .. We love this sparkling city in the desert, so we're taking a couple of days here to decompress after our week of packing and goodbyes in Bangalore. .. .. We have spent the afternoon at the rather lush @lemeridienabudhabi. Started with a delicious lunch at Papagallo (check out today's instastories) and then headed to the beach club for a play in the sand and splash in the sea and pool. We then finished up the day meeting one of my fave bloggers who is an expert on family travel in the Middle East – Keri @ourglobetrotters – and her gorgeous family. Loved how our kids just all went off and played like old chums. .. .. Awesome day! Thank you so much to @lemeridienabudhabi for inviting us over 😊 .. .. .. #lemeridien #visitabudhabi #inabudhabi #uae #abudhabiinstagram #abudhabiimages #amazingabudhabi #igersuae #simplyabudhabi #instaabudhabi #magicofchildhood #letthemplay #fearlessfamtrav #luxlife #luxurytravel #beachkids #beachdays #littletraveller #stopover #etihad #lppathfinders #lpkids #wearetravelmums #tmom #middleeasttravel #parentswhowander #awanderfulchildhood #letthekids #bringthekids #familytravel
