Unsure what (ad) means?
If you see (ad) or #ad on any of my Social Media posts, it means I have been compensated by the brand to share something with you all. This could mean I haven’t had to pay for something or I’ve been paid to write about somewhere.
I only work with brands that I believe in and will benefit my readers. All words and thoughts are always my own and I and I will ALWAYS say EXACTLY what I think and be honest with you. Working with brands and enables me to do this job I love and to travel as much as we do, so I greatly appreciate your support 🙂
#mumsgohiking
I launched #mumsgohiking over on Instagram in January 2020 to inspire and encourage busy mums to make time to get outside in nature and enjoy some time to themselves.
Mums are always so rushed off their feet juggling the kids, work and household duties. We wear so many different hats and rarely make any time for ourselves. We always put all other family members before our own needs.
So how does it work? Mums – get out in nature once a week for a hike, snap a photo of yourself, then share it to Instagram/stories using @mumsgohiking 🙌 Simple. I then share my faves to the Mums snap a photo on their weekly hike and I share it to the mumsgohiking instagram page. Let’s inspire and encourage us busy mums to commit and book ourselves in for some regular solo time amongst nature. No kids, no work, no distractions 😌.
This isn’t a ‘get fit’ thing, and going for a run or an exercise class doesn’t count. This is all about connecting with nature, letting your mind wander, and reconnecting with yourself through the power of a simple walk in nature. And it doesn’t have to be a rigorous mountain hike. Just a stroll around the local park, a walk along the beach or a river. Wherever nature is close to you, go out and enjoy it – without the kids!
