A big wave HELLO from all four of us at TraveLynn Family. The travelling team is made up of Jenny (Mum), Jason (Dad), Arthur (aged 10) and Ezra (aged 8). The writers and content creators behind this blog are both Jenny and Jason (we have made travel blogging our joint professions).
TraveLynn Family was established as a blog in 2016 and has grown in to a worldwide following with a social media following with over 23k Instagram followers, and 85k page views per month to this website.
We are all about independent travel, off the beaten track. We love the great outdoors and an epic road trip.

After a year living in India and then 4 months traversing Africa in a Land Rover, we moved back to the UK in 2018. The Peak District is currently our home (Jenny is also the editor of Peak District Kids), which gave us the opportunity to explore more of Europe and North Africa.
In 2020 we jumped on the pandemic-van-wagon with the eBay purchase of a Mazda Bongo 4×4 camper! We were able to navigate the travel restrictions in Europe with a 6 week road trip in France in 2021 and a 3 week Northern Spain road trip in 2021/22, as well as lots of other little camper trips along the way.
2023 brought a new adventure and we deregistered the boys from school again to spend 10 weeks backpacking Southeast Asia. Once again the boys did online learning, but this time, Jay (Dad) took parental leave (which meant no work for him!).
We’re now back in the UK and preparing for a move to Penang at Easter, 2024!
We believe that intrepid travel should not wait until the kids are older, and that there are lots of benefits to travelling with your kids from a young age. We have been running this blog for over 7 years now, and love receiving your emails and messages with questions.
